Ready, Set, Play! Tips for Using the Playground at Brook Arbor

Playground at Brook Arbor

Here at Brook Arbor in Cary, NC we are pleased to offer an array of amenities to members of our apartment community including a playground. Today we are taking a few minutes to share some playground etiquette tips. We hope you take time to enjoy the playground with your favorite children this month!

Be courteous.

Sometimes tiffs occur at the playground, however small they are. Keep them from escalating by practicing patience and speaking in kind words. Avoid confrontation, but if you have to intervene (for example, if a child you’re looking after wants to use a piece of playground equipment another child is using), suggest appropriate behavior or alternatives that kids can take part in.

Come prepared.

A playground is a place for fun, but accidents do happen. However, you don’t have to panic in case of an emergency if you’re prepared! Keep a backpack full of things you might need to use for first-aid or even less serious needs, such as band-aids, sanitizer, tissues, wipes, insect repellent, and a plastic bag for garbage. You’ll be grateful you have these things, even if you only use them once!

Beware the germs.

Our apartment community playground is a place for all our residents to enjoy, so like any community spot, it’s much easier to keep it clean when everyone who uses it cleans up after themselves. This is also another instance in which your playground pack’s plastic bag and wipes especially come in handy. Make use of nearby trash bins and avoid leaving messes. Stay aware of your health and the health of any children you’re taking to the playground so you can stay home to prevent the spread of germs. Everyone at the playground will appreciate it!

In addition to our on-site playground, where are your favorite parks and playgrounds in the area? Let us know in the comments so we can check them out! We hope everyone is having a great summer. Thanks for taking time to read our post today.
